Meet Dr. John Rubin
John Rubin, D.D.S., has been practicing the art of cosmetic and restorative dentistry since 1981. He graduated from the distinguished University of Texas Dental School in Houston which consistently ranks among the top dental schools in the country. Dr. Rubin attained specialized training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Rubin’s first practice was in Downtown Fort Worth in a corner of the Radio Shack Tower. He became known as the ‘Downtown Dentist.’ In 2006 Dr. Rubin moved the practice to a more convenient location for his patients, to the centrally located Montgomery Plaza. “I wanted a location that gave my patients fast and easy access and parking near my door,” said Dr. Rubin. The Montgomery Plaza building holds a lot of history of Fort Worth. It opened in 1928 and introduced a huge retail scene to the city. It is now an iconic feature of our skyline. However, over the years, the retail scene changed and the Plaza was redeveloped into a multi-purpose residential and entertainment center that also houses small business practices including our dental practice.
Dr. Rubin regularly completes advanced courses in dentistry. Staying up to date on the latest technologies is very important to him so he can continue to ensure his patients receive the highest care possible. He has accrued hundreds of continuing education hours and studies with lead doctors in the dentistry field. Dr. Rubin is skilled in bonding, cosmetic dentistry, restorative treatment, invisalign braces, and implants.
Dr. Rubin was recently featured in Fort Worth Texas Magazine as one of the “Top Docs of the Metroplex.”
Dr. Rubin’s Philosophy
Dental health and aesthetics are inseparable. Whatever we do to improve your health must also improve your appearance and sense of yourself. I want my patients to benefit not only from my technical abilities, but also from my ability to see what they really should look like at their best.

Dr. Jim Tate
DDS from University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry
Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA
– clinical training in oral surgery
– clinical training in IV sedation
My name is James Tate but most people call me Jim. My older brother and I were born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma by our wonderful mother and father. After graduating from high school I attended the University of Oklahoma, and graduated with a dual degree in chemistry and biochemistry. Dental school was always the ultimate goal of my undergraduate studies, and I was fortunate enough to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry graduating in 2015. Boomer Sooner! Following graduation from dental school with my DDS, I pursued additional training in clinical oral surgery and IV sedation at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
My passion for clinical oral surgery really began during my 2nd year of dental school while on a mission trip with the Christian Dental Society in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. Continuing my relationship with the Christian Dental Society and beginning to lead other teams of dental students is something I hope to be a part of in the future.
In my spare time I love to play and watch basically any sport. If there is a game going on I’m there! I enjoy supporting my Alma Mater, particularly on Saturdays in the fall. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially now that I’m going back to this part of the world! I have a 3 year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel named Fitzgerald who has been my buddy through thick and thin, and has crossed the country twice with me now.
My favorite part of dentistry is the fact that you can have an instant impact on someone’s life. Whether a patient is in pain, has a functional deficit, or an aesthetic concern, as a dentist we can help solve their problems. On a personal level one of the things that attracted me to dentistry was the chance to be a part of a team. I have always played team sports and a dental office parallels sports in many many ways. In order to ensure patients enjoy their time in the office and have their goals met every member of the team has their role to play.
